MEP Maintenance Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

– Maintenance Planning and Execution:

 – Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

 – Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation of MEP systems.

 – Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in MEP systems, providing timely repairs to minimize downtime.

– System Monitoring and Performance:

 – Monitor the performance of MEP systems to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively.

 – Analyze system performance data to identify areas for improvement and recommend necessary upgrades or modifications.

 – Ensure all MEP systems comply with relevant safety and performance standards.

– Team Coordination and Management:

 – Coordinate with other engineers, technicians, and subcontractors to carry out maintenance tasks.

 – Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance teams, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards.

 – Manage maintenance records, including documentation of repairs, inspections, and system performance.

– Compliance and Safety:

 – Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

 – Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

 – Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to MEP systems.

– Emergency Response:

 – Respond to emergency maintenance requests, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of issues.

 – Develop and implement emergency response plans for critical MEP systems.

 – Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support as needed.

– Continuous Improvement:

 – Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency and reliability of MEP systems.

 – Recommend and implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices.

 – Stay informed about the latest advancements in MEP technology and maintenance practices.

Education and Qualifications:

– Education:

 – Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 

– Experience:

 – Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in MEP maintenance within the construction or facilities management industry.

 – Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

– Technical Skills:

 – Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including design principles, installation practices, and maintenance procedures.

 – Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.

 – Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, IPC).
